Payment Ban Looming In Norway
28/09/2007: The Norwegian government has announced that it is looking to ban money transfers to foreign online gambling companies but the move has been greeted with scepticism by operators and by politicians alike.
Spanish Authorities Pursuing Complaints Against Internet Gambling Operators
27/09/2007: Complaints filed by the country’s land-based industry and charity lottery operator ONCE have provoked the Spanish Treasury to begin an investigation into the legal status of online gambling companies active in Spain. At issue is the question of possible tax fraud charges and at the same time reports suggest that a judge in Barcelona has opened investigations into the Spanish arm of Sportingbet.
Czech Republic Floats Internet Betting Ban
