Responsible Gaming Day
Gaming legal experts meet to discuss European market
2008 kicks off with hopes high that this will be the year that the European Commission make significant progress in the harmonization and liberalisation of European gaming law and break down some of the existing barriers currently stunting the growth of the gaming and gambling industry.
With the Italian and UK markets leading the way in regulated markets and the French market making real signs that their doors could open in 2008 as well, legal issues are at the top of the agenda for most operators who are keen to not only operate legally but also to take advantage of new markets as they open up.
It’s no surprise in this case that the 2nd annual Legal Gaming in Europe summit is eagerly anticipated and is again set to be a blockbusting summit. Organisers Bullet Business and GMM Business Solutions stated; “After the success of last years summit, when over 85% attendees rated the conference as good or excellent, we knew there was great demand for a timely and relevant lowdown on all the legal issues facing the gaming industry as we move into 2008”.
Michael Setters, Director of Bullet Business went onto say; “It’s ICE week so everyone is in town and what better way to kick off your week – and indeed year - than to hear from the foremost legal experts in the gaming industry. We’ll be covering all the important challenges and issues the industry faces including; progress made by the EC, lobbying groups, big markets such as France, Germany, Spain, UK and Italy and new markets such as Czech Republic, Hungary and many more”.
He adds; “The summit is co-located with the 4th annual Mobile Gambling Summit so networking opportunities are maximised and you can be sure you’ll get every opportunity to meet, discuss and do business with all the major players in the industry”
