Partouche Oral Hearing
The oral hearing in the case against Partouche took place before the Criminal Court of Nanterre (the same Court which is in charge of the investigation of the bwin case). These proceedings relate to the partnership sealed by Partouche with a poker website located abroad.
The Public Prosecutor has requested, on the grounds of alleged violation of the French gaming regulations, that:
• a 18-month (suspended) prison sentence and a € 40,000 fine be given to Mr Patrick Partouche, as an individual; and
• a fine of between €100,000 and €150,000 be given to Partouche International, as a legal entity.
The ruling is expected to be delivered on March 15th 2007.
