Austria’s ‘Novomatic Law’ Dooms Local Machine Operators

12/12/2008: Over a thousand small-to-medium sized gaming companies will go out of business should the Austrian Parliament approve proposed amendments to national gambling laws to issue one single concession to operate all gaming machines in the country, according to the president of the Austrian Gaming Association. The draft changes would also tax wagers placed with foreign-based internet gambling websites.

Austria Notifies EU Of Gambling Law Changes
