Our Responsible Gaming Policy

The EGBA operates a responsible gaming policy which, as a means of self-regulation, sets standards which our members must incorporate into their responsible gaming policies. These measures include:

• Standard player registration and stringent age verification information and processes
• A commitment to maintaining consumer privacy and data protection
• Exclusion and self-exclusion mechanisms
• The ability for players to set limits for their bets and deposits and access account information
• Round the clock customer support
• Anti-fraud measures, particularly focused on anti-money laundering
• Easy access to information about problem gambling and support services

These measures are designed to protect the consumer along with a number of standards designed to demonstrate transparency and corporate responsibility such as:

• Registered office and contact information
• Regulation and jurisdiction statements
• Clear terms and conditions
• Prominent information on underage persons not being permitted to register or play

All EGBA members also implement product testing and fairness policies which ensure that players have a positive and enjoyable gaming experience and that all systems are fair, including random number generation. These systems test:

• All products for fairness, internally and externally
• All products both pre and post launch
• All major individual changes and the whole system annually
• All Random Number Generators to ensure that all games are conducted fairly
• All game rules for continued fair play

As part of our commitment to fair game play and customer satisfaction, all EGBA members will ensure that their advertising and promotions are:

• Not false or misleading
• That all terms and conditions of promotions are followed
• No advertising should appeal to the underage or be displayed on sites targeted at the underage
• Operators should never knowingly engage in the distribution of SPAM whether directly or through a third party
• All email advertising should have an unsubscribe or opt-out policy

Third parties performing advertising on an operator’s behalf should abide by these standards.
