Sports Bodies Commission Betting Corruption Study

09/11/2007: UK professional sports bodies have commissioned the University of Salford to study the risk of corruption attached to various types of sports bets. The results could be used to back up proposals calling for certain bets to be outlawed and for information sharing agreements between bookmakers and sports associations.

Alderney and Isle of Man Confirm White List Status

10/08/2007: The DCMS’s jurisdictional ‘white list’ has been published and, as was anticipated, included just Alderney and the Isle of Man. Further information has been asked of Antigua and Kahnawake, but from September 1st only operators licensed in the UK, the EEA and the two white-listed jurisdictions will be able to advertise their services in the UK.
